Delete Your Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your Kuruvi account and the data associated with it, what gets deleted, what we are required to keep, and for how long. It applies to the Kuruvi app and the kuruvi.com service.
1. How to request deletion
You can request deletion of your Kuruvi data in either of these ways:
- In the app (recommended): Sign in, then go to Settings → Delete account and confirm. This immediately deletes your account and data and cancels any active subscription.
- By email: Email privacy@kuruvi.com from the email address on your Kuruvi account, with the subject “Delete my data.” We verify that you control the account email and complete the deletion within 30 days.
2. What is deleted
When you delete your account, we delete:
- Your account and profile (name, username, email, phone).
- The messages and conversations we synced on your behalf.
- Your connected channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, Email, Shopify, eBay, WooCommerce, YouTube) and the stored credentials/tokens for them.
- Your marketplace listings.
- Team data you own if you are the team owner; if you are a member, you are removed from the team.
- Your subscription is canceled as part of deletion.
3. What is kept, and for how long
Some data is retained only where the law requires it or for a short, limited period:
- Billing and transaction records: kept for 7 years to comply with accounting and tax law.
- Backups: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days of deletion.
- AI request logs: if you used AI features, the question and the identifiers used to answer it are retained for up to 90 days for safety and quality review (sanitised before logging).

4. Connected Facebook / Instagram accounts
If you connected a Facebook or Instagram account, you can also request deletion of that data through Facebook’s settings. You can check the status of a Facebook-initiated deletion on our Data Deletion Status page using your confirmation code.
